This climbing plant likes to attach itself to other plants, branches or netting. The plant can climb about 2 to 3 metres each year. The plant will die off in the autumn and will start flowering again in the spring.
A nice side effect of Lathyrus is the more flowers you pick, the more it will grow. 

No flowers appear in the first year after sowing. The plant is only 'establishing' itself. But in the following years you will be able to enjoy it to the full!
