With these broad bean seeds of the ‘Listra’ variety, you can grow delicious broad beans with white beans that remain white even after cooking. It is a high-yielding variety that produces beans of a uniform size.
Important: These beans are delicious and less bitter than many other broad beans.
Tip: sowing a few rows of dill between the beans also helps protect against black aphids. Suitable for freezing.
Sowing instructions
Sowing: under glass in January and then transplant in early March into the garden or: from March to mid-April directly into the garden. Sow or plant in the garden in rows 80 cm apart and place the seeds 10 cm apart in the row. Broad beans are susceptible to black aphid infestation. You can combat this by spraying with a biological pesticide or by pinching out the tops of the plants as soon as they are fully grown and start to flower. Do not use fresh manure.
Harvest: depending on the sowing time, from mid-June to early August.
