Larkspur (Delphinium) is a plant from the buttercup family (Ranunculaceae) that originates from Europe, Western Asia and the northern hemisphere. Several species are native, but are now almost extinct in the wild due to the use of weed killers, among other things. It is a beautiful flowering plant that can also be used as a cut flower. Please note that larkspur is poisonous to humans and some animals.
