Before use, moisten the vermiculite and do not make it soaking wet. The easiest way is to immerse a sieve with vermiculite in a bowl of water and then let it drain well. Spoon a layer of several centimetres of moist vermiculite into sowing tray and press the seeds into the vermiculite and place the lid on the sowing tray or cover it with plastic.
