The botanical name Clarkia is a tribute to Captain William Clark, who scientifically documented the plant at the beginning of the 19th century during the famous Lewis and Clark expedition. Godetia comes from the Swiss botanist Charles Henri Godet, who studied the species in the 19th century. There are several times when you can sow Godetia Azalea flowered, depending on when you want them to start blooming.

The best period for outdoor sowing is from mid April to late May. Sow directly into the ground in the desired spot. Because the plant has a taproot, it is very difficult to transplant.
