Corn salad has few soil requirements. As the sowing period (August/September) is favourable, corn salad allows one to make good use of the vacant plots. Sowing in October is too late unless one has a greenhouse/flat box. A narrow row spacing of 10 cm is possible, but a wider spacing is more pleasant in connection with hoeing.
