Baby's Breath Seeds

Baby's breath (gypsophila) is a beautiful bloomer that fits very nicely among other plants in a border. The small white, purple or pink flowers nicely fill the spaces between other flowers. Baby's breath is also widely used in bouquets and flower arrangements. Gypsophila attracts many insects and is good for increasing biodiversity in the garden. The plants grow and flower best in a sunny spot with dry soil.  You can fill empty spaces with the long-flowering varieties.

Annual Baby's Breath

Of the annual Baby's Breath (Gypsophila elegaus), we particularly recommend the white variety 'Covent Garden Market', which also produces long-lasting cut flowers. The plants grow about 30 to 50 cm tall. We have the flower seeds of this annual gypsophila plant in our range.

The habitat of the Baby's Breath

The flowers of the gypsophila plant grow and flower best in a sunny spot with dry soil. They do very well in borders. Especially with the long-flowering varieties, you can fill empty spaces.
